Hello,
Installed JSWeather on my site and it's working fine, except only the "Current Weather" option displays.
If I select "Weather Forecast" or "Current/Forecast" options then I get a The requested page can't be found.error.
Any help or advice greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Chas
I have added another copy of the JSWeather module to a test page here
thisischinnor.co.uk/test-area-no-go-zone
and selected the "Forecast" option, this shows the error message at the bottom:
0 Call to undefined function jsweatherRGraph\parse_ini_file()
Hope this helps with diagnostics
Chas

hi,
"parse_ini_file()" is a standard function of php - it should be available on your sysr´tem. Pls. check your php-installation.
Thanks for the advice. I'm running the site on a CPanel hosting using php 8.2.
I have searched but cannot find any reference to allowing "parse_ini" in my php.ini site settings.
Where would I check if it were disabled? It's not mentioned in the PHP Information file or any of the site settings.
How would I enable this?
Odd that the module works fine with just the "Current Weather" option selected, it's only the other two options of "Forecast" and "Current/Forecast" cause this error. All other site functions and modules work perfectly, I would have assumed that this parse_ini function was used elsewhere in Joomla and would have also shown similar errors.
Happy for you to have site admin access to check for yourself if needed?
Chas
hi,
the shown error is very clear - function parse_ini_file() ist not available on your system. (also see doc at:
www.php.net/manual/en/function.parse-ini-file
)
"current weather" option does not call (use) parse_ini_file(), therefore you do not get this error.
You might check your Joomla (e.g. security settings or plugins to find out why function has been disabled or made unavalable..
Thanks again. Whilst this error is very clear to you, it is not to me as I am not an expert programmer, so please excuse any ignorance on my part.
I have checked and there do not appear to be any relevant plugins that are disabled, attached is a list of them and parts of the settings for other disabled php functions, again, none mention "parse"
I can attach a full system info text file but am reluctant to for security purposes, would it help and would it be safe to do so?
Sorry, but I cannot think of anywhere else to check for this "setting" which may be disabled, please advise where to look?
Thank you.
