A couple of weeks ago, soon after updating Joomla to 5.4.5, the JS Weather app stopped displaying and any page with the module on it crashed the site with a 503 error. I disabled the Module and Extension in turn to discover the problem. I left it like that till today.

I reenabled the Extension and then the Module and whilst it no longer crashes the site, it displays nothing now. I suspected the API key had expired so went back and reset it and got another key but again, still no weather information appears.

I reinstalled the extension, no change.

I suspect there is a code error clashing with new Joomla code but have no idea what.

Happy to give you access as before if you want to investigate.

PS Just checked the error log and saw this was the first failure:2026-04-21T09:11:19+00:00 CRITICAL 43.131.243.61 error Uncaught Throwable of type Error thrown with message "Call to undefined function js_weather\module\curl_init()". Stack trace: #0 [ROOT]/modules/mod_js_weather/mod_js_weather.php(118): js_weather\module\js_weatherClass->get_weather_data(139, 'record_1')
No further errors after I disabled it and then none since I reenabled it, so odd that it's not displaying anything?
 

Well, I guess this is no longer being supported or updated. Shame it worked well. Bye.
