can you try following:

1. define opton "ignore unknown countries" set to "no" -> save settings and check (visit/reload your size)  what is displayed
2. define opton "ignore unknown countries" set to "yes" -> save settings and check (visit/reload yoursite)  what is displayed

There is no difference in what is displayed i.e. the 'unknown country' is still displayed in both cases.

hi,
This is very strange! can you check (e.g. with phpMyAdmin) what joomla has stored in tthe database?

1. get id of affected module then execute sql: SELECT * FROM `yourprefix_modules` WHERE id=xxx 
2. check column $params parm "unknown"  it should show 
"unknown":"1"

hi,
ar way to recover may be:
1 unpublisch module, which behaves wrongly
2. reccreate (new) module with same settings as unpublished module

Yes, it does show "unknown":"1"
