I recently installed jsvisit Visitor Counter. After initial testing, I want to make a clean start with a reset of the history: week/month, next to resetting the counter.
How can I do this.

there is no option to reset all counters - but you could do following:

- use phpMyAdmin (or similar tool) to set counters in table #__visitors and to empty table #__visitors_country
or
- uninstall  jsvisit Visitor Counter and install it again

On my website (Joomla 3) I have next to jsvisit Visitor Counter the VCNT visitor counter installed. I notice that the score of jsvisit is is much higher than VCNT (currently 65 vs. 27). My experience is that VCNT is reliable, Do you have any idea what causes this difference and how to solve this? In the plugin the 3 Geolocation Servers are set to No.

depending on your settings jsvisit may act as a hit-counter -> every click will be counted. (also see my docs... )

Settings are according to the documentation: Time inactivity set to 120. Should just be a basic counter.

Correct visitor counting requires that cookies are allowed on your website for the use of the time interval of 120 minutes. If this is not the case, the visitor counter becomes a hit counter because every page view is counted.
You may verify this by just reloading your called webpage. If counter is not incremented counting works correctly.
